Middle East Insurance Forum takes place in Bahrain

Under the patronage of HE Mr. Rasheed Al Maraj, Governor of Central Bank of Bahrain and organized by the Central Bank of Bahrain and Bahrain Insurance Association the sixth annual Middle East Insurance Forum starts in Bahrain at the Gulf Hotel in the presence of a leading insurance and economic thinkers in the region.
Over 300 leading economics are participating in this forum from various countries of the Middle East and the world of decision makers in the Arab insurance companies and international reinsurance companies and insurance agents and mediators, and financial institutions as well as representatives of official sectors, governmental and international economic organizations, with an optimism to maintaine and improve the stability of financial markets at the beginning of the year 2010 with the rapid expansion in industry.
On this occasion, Mr. Ashraf Bseisu Chairman of the Bahrain Insurance Association Chairman of Arab Insurance Union, says:
"The sixth annual Middle East Insurance Forum being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in this period and in the presence of a large insurance leaders and specialist from various sectors of the economy in the beginning of the year will enable us to develop strategies and solutions to mitigate the impact of the financial crisis and the solutions to change various techniques in this industry to help in improving it."
An exhibition will be presented at the same time to highlight the latest developments in the industry and insurance services as well as new innovative solutions with a focus on improving efficiency and performance.
Bahrain Insurance Association received official approval for its establishment in 1993, and began operations under the umbrella of social association and the Ministry of Social Development in 1994.
System was modified recently by the Assembly to be under the umbrella of the Central Bank of Bahrain. The Bahrain Insurance Association has currently 50 members representing the insurance and reinsurance companies and domestic insurance and foreign insurance brokers and insurance providers working in the Kingdom of Bahrain, also plays a leadership role in Assembly regulating the insurance industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to enriching the latest development of economic and intellectual developments of this sector through organization of seminars and workshops in addition to hosting conferences.
